MOUNTAINS

“Mountains” is an amalgamation of images viewed from the sky during my years as a corporate pilot. Having seen the Rockies, the Bighorn and Sangre de Cristo ranges to the West, and the Appalachians to the East from various viewpoints, I could not decide which of them to paint.

As in my painting “Distant Cities", the mountain scenes began to merge in my mind. “Mountains” is the result. The music I chose to accompany this piece reflects the rugged beauty of the scene.
