Drawn to the Light was inspired by a photograph I took one morning as I prayed by the shore of Chesapeake Bay. It was early October, and the sky was beyond description.  

As I thanked God for the blessing of His beauty, I knew it was something I had to paint, but my attempts to capture that amazing sky on canvas frustrated me. I just couldn’t seem to get it right - so I stopped and began, once again, to pray. During the process, I regained a sense of peace. The work began to flow as I focused not only on the scene before me but the source of all that is beautiful in this world - as I was drawn to the light.  I hope it will draw you as well… and bring you peace.
